Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Junior Novelization
This novelization follows the story of the first film. It also incorporates a few deleted scenes and adds new details:
- Flint created Spray-on Shoes as an assigned science project
- Tim worked with his father in the tackle shop
- The Weather News Network producer paired Manny and Sam for the Swallow Falls broadcast
- Sam is surprisingly strong
- Flint hadn't talked to a girl since his mom died (deleted scene)
- The code for breakfast: food= <eggs>; then <bacon>(crispy); then <toast> + <O_J>(nopulp); startclock <8:30AM>
- There were 31 flavors of ice cream on Cal's birthday
- Cal and Earl were sucked into the Spaghetti Twister (deleted scene)
- The Meat-a-Roid has a distinctive, smelly odor
- The FLDSMDFR is suspended by a sac made of gelatin
- The flying car exploded when Sam and Flint kissed, creating fireworks

This novelization follows the story of the sequel. It adds new details such as:
- Chester V's "humanitarian aid" included bandages, pants, and food bars
- Tim pronounced Live Corp as "Live Corpse"
- Chester has a huge poster of himself over his bed
- Flint dressed as a Thinquanaut for Halloween (his mom was an angel, his dad - reluctantly - a vampire)
- The Cheespider was the first Foodimal created
- Flint took the city bus in to work
- Live Corp also has 24-hour massage pods, a cookie bakery, and a dolphin pool
- The hover scooters used by Thinquanauts are called "bubble scooters"
- Most Live Corp employees average one submission a month, Flint submitted one a day
- Flint's overworking isolated him from Sam
