Spaghetti Twister

The Spaghetti Twister was a cataclysmic food storm, which ravaged through the town as Flint Lockwood cut the ribbon to Chewandswallow's grand opening. It spat out meatballs as Flint raced back to his lab to shut down the FLDSMDFR. Its winds also sucked up the townspeople, their vehicles, and various other debris (such as a man in a bathtub).

In the film, the Spaghetti Twister was summoned by Mayor Shelbourne who decided to order the meal to Flint, and was thinking pasta and some light apps. Flint however tells The Mayor that the food is starting to mutate, with comparing a hotdog that fell a week prior and the hot dog that fell during the day. And with the FLDSMDFR using microwave radiation to turn water molecules into food, the more the residents of Swallow Falls order more food, the more clouds it takes in, and with the more radiation it makes, it would make the food over mutate, and that was why the food was getting bigger. But Shelbourne completely ignored Flint's warning of the storm, and proclaims, bigger is better and that every would love the new portion sizes. Flint thinks he should turn the FLDSMDFR off, but Shelbourne pushes him to make the order and save the town and give Flint everything he ever wanted, and said to him if turned it off, he would ruin everything, and no one, would like him, despite everyone already loving his food. Flint gives in and orders, Spagethhi, Meatballs, Garlic Bread, Asparagus, Shrimp, and Celery for the celebration. With the Shelbourne getting greedy and Steve getting scared and worried, Flint prepares to press the button but tells Shelbourne "I mean, bigger is better, right?" And he says, " Oh yeah." He presses the button with Shelbourne giving a devilish smile. The menu message goes to the FLDSMDFR and it copies the menu 11 times and the food spits out with the Twister coming.

The next day, before the grand reopening ceremony, Sam Sparks opens her Doppler 2000 Turbo and learns that the Spagethhi Twister is coming.

The next day at the grand reopening ceremony, after Flint cuts the ribbon to signify the new era of Swallow Falls. The sky starts to turn orange, and salt and pepper wind initiates. A piece of oregano flies into Flints face and a few seconds later, the twister arrives and starts causing chaos, with Flint saying: "Mama mia." Sam gives angry look at Flint until running back to her and Manny's van. Flint yells at her saying he can turn if off. Flint turns back, sees his lab and determined, he knows he can. He screams and runs to the twister, avoiding several obstacle sin the process. He eventually gets sucked into the twister, and sees several people inside, including a man in a bathtub, a man knocking at on a door, a woman jogging, and Joe Towne riding in a car, which Flint goes through to get out of the twister. He gets out, loses his lab coat, falls and gets hit onto several more objects, and lands at his house. Steve says Gummy bears but Flint says he can't give them to him at the moment. The international tourists get back to their cruise liners but to only see them leaving, and running back into town. A chunk of Spagethhi falls into the restaurant: The Roofless and covers dozens of people due to there being no roof. Tim Lockwood looks out and yells Flint's name only for a meatball to fly to his shop and trap him. Sam reports to twister to the news but Patrick Patrickson tells him he likes the storm tells Sam she looks like a nerd. But she tells him at several children are trapped with in the twisters path, with Calvin Devereaux getting a tummy ache. Earl Devereaux sees his son on a nearby TV shop and yells his name and heads out to find him. Patrick still makes fun of Sam with her still telling him the tornado is an actual weather emergency, only for her to get hit by a piece of garlic bread.

In the films deleted scene of the twister, Cal calls out to his father and Earl replies to him saying he's coming. Flint gets back to lab getting ready to upload the kill code, only to find Shelbourne ordering to the machine. He asks him what he's doing here, and he says he being up in his lab ordering dinner for the last ten minutes, and says is something going on. And Flint tries to get through him as he says he has to shut the machine down as the twister is wrecking the town. But Shelbourne replies saying it can't be that bad, and orders the meal the requested. Flint goes to stop the order with the kill code. But the mayor stops him and hits him with bread. The two then begin to fight but Flint makes him spin out and goes to his desk to send the kill code. The major comes back and grabs him but as he gets dragged away, he stabs him with a pepper into his eye. He runs to the button but Shelbourne gets back up and stabs in the back with nachos. Earl eventually gets to Cal before he gets sucked up into the storm, but Earl gets sucked in the storm with him. Shelbourne gets ready to kill Flint with a radish. But he gets to the button as Shelbourne throws the radish to him, missing him, the radish instead the crashes and destroys the device to contact the FLDSMDFR and the kill code Flint sends before its destroyed is longer able to be transmitted. Flint tells Shelbourne the device was the only way to communicate with the FLDSMDFR and asks him what he exactly ordered, after he says "A Vegas-style all-you-can-eat buffet". Flint looks up at his computer and stares at it, knowing a food storm is coming. The Spagethhi Twister ends and the Food Storm begins.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (Video Game)

Spaghetti Twisters are enemy food creatures that appear in the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs video game.

They are about 7-8 feet tall and move in set paths across levels. They often block paths forward or obstruct collectibles or objectives. If Flint or Steve get too close, they will be sucked into the tornado and spat out, dealing damage to the player. If approached cautiously, Flint can snag a loose noodle with the Forkamajigger and tug it away from the tornado, unraveling it. Flint can also chop tornados with the Chopper-er.
