The Monkey-Thought-Translator is one of Flint Lockwood's many inventions and it was designed to translate the thoughts of his pet monkey Steve into English. The device consists of a red, white and blue headband that has been modified to read the brainwaves of the wearer. The brainwaves are then transmitted to a modified baby monitor that is wirelessly connected to the headband; the monitor then translates the thoughts into English using a digital voice. The device also works on humans in which case it can help a person express what they really feel when they are not able to say it. It also works on Food Animals, such as the Shrimpanzee.
