Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs River Expedition is a water ride based on the film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. It was created in November 2016^[1] for MotionGate Theme Park in Dubai.^[2]

Guests line up in a queue within Tim Lockwood's fishing boat, watching a newscast from Sam Sparks about the Foodimal Reserve in Swallow Falls. Sam explains the backstory of how the Foodimals came to be and assures guests that the ride is perfectly safe, since "no one's been eaten here for a long time." The broadcast is interrupted by a report that Steve had gone missing, and visitors are encouraged to head through the rapids to keep an eye out for Steve.^[3]
